BACOLOD City – A suspect in hacking a resident of Barangay Guadalupe, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental has turned himself in to the police.
Police in San Carlos City took the 26-year-old Armando Altaya in custody.
Altaya allegedly hacked the 40-year-old Victorio Colasito of the same village.
Both men had a heated argument during a drinking session Wednesday that resulted in Altaya attacking Colasito with a machete, police said, citing witnesses.
Altaya surrendered to the San Carlos City police station at around 5:30 p.m. that day.
Colasito sustained a hack wound on the body. He was confined in a hospital in San Carlos City./PN
