ALYNNA Velasquez lamented how she was “unable” to visit the wake of her late longtime partner, OPM icon Hajji Alejandro, saying it was because of “reasons [she does not have] control of.”
The singer showed herself putting a bouquet of flowers on Hajji’s Eastwood Walk of Fame star, through her Instagram page on Wednesday, April 23.
“I was unable to go to your wake for reasons I don’t have control of,” she said, opting not to expound. “But I am glad I am here to pray for you and watch your star shine!”
She also thanked the management of the establishment for honoring the late singer by offering flowers and lighting candles on his star.
“You truly are a legend and your wonderful music will live on forever. We love you so much!” Velasquez continued addressing her late partner.
In separate posts on her Instagram Stories, Velasquez also asked God to give her strength.
“How could people be so mean to me when I am also grieving. God sees everything,” she said, without naming who she was referring to.
Prior to this, Velasquez revealed that she was with Hajji during the last eight days of his life. She also lamented how the OPM icon died on April 21, a day before their 27th anniversary as a couple.
In her earlier post, Velasquez also thanked Hajji’s children Rachel and Ali Alejandro for reaching out to her during their dad’s last moments.
Velasquez’s interaction with them came after the “conflict” she had with Hajji’s family, which was the reason why she left his house. Velasquez did not immediately disclose further details on this. (Anne Pasajol © Philippine Daily Inquirer)
