Have a ‘bear-y’ merry Christmas!

The 50-feet tall Santa Bear – the biggest of its kind in the Philippines – seats atop the Iloilo Business Park Show Room along Megaworld Boulevard.

MEGAWORLD sure knows how to make this season’s celebration “bigger” as it brings the largest Santa Christmas Bear in the country to the City of Love’s premiere business district.

The highlight of the Nov. 30 Christmas Lighting event, the holiday bear stands 50 feet and is ready to bring Ilonggos the perfect holiday vibe they deserve.

The ceremonial Christmas lighting event at the Iloilo Business Park was held on Nov. 30. It was led by [from left] Megaworld Iloilo Business Park vice president and head of PR Harold Geronimo, City Councilor Jose Efrain “Jay” Treñas, Megaworld Iloilo Business Park vice president for sales and marketing Jennifer Palmares-Fong, Iloilo City Tourism Officer Junel Ann Divinagracia, and Richmonde Hotel Iloilo manager Natalie Lim.
The Santa Bear can now be seen seated atop the Iloilo Business Park Show Room along Megaworld Boulevard. It is visible across main thoroughfares in Mandurriao and the nearby Jaro district.

“Christmas is a very important season for us Filipinos. It is a wonderful time where we all come together to share joyful experiences in love and delight,” said Jennifer Palmares-Fong, vice president for sales and marketing, Megaworld Iloilo Business Park.

She added: “For us at Megaworld, we want to continue our tradition of spreading happiness to our guests through our properties and malls. We are playing up Iloilo City’s naturally festive character and giving Ilonggos the unique gift of smiles and joy with our giant Christmas Bear.”

Christmas season is celebrated in the spirit of gift-giving.

Palmares-Fong stressed that they want their “guests to have more reasons to be festive and joyful this Christmas when they come and visit us here at Iloilo Business Park.”

In November, the Iloilo Business Park was awarded the “Best Mixed-Use Development for Visayas and Mindanao” at The Outlook 2018 (Philippines Buyers’ Choice Property Awards) organized by Lamudi Philippines.

The business park’s ceremonial lighting was celebrated with the performances of Kinaadman dancers, Claravall-Gonzalez School of Classical Ballet, and Airdances.

The event officially started the holiday lineup of activities at the business park. Every Saturday and Sunday of December, kids are invited to a meet-and-greet session with Santa at “Santa’s Corner” at the Festive Walk Mall Atrium.

On Dec. 6 and 8, spectators were treated with a spectacular show courtesy of the LED Light Dancers who performed around the mall.

Moreover, guests will witness the skies light up for a Grand Fireworks display happening on Dec. 15, 23, and 30.

A fireworks display marked the opening of lights at the Iloilo Business Park in Mandurriao, Iloilo City.

Festive Walk Mall will also host Simbang Gabi at St. Vincent Chapel from Dec. 15 to 24.

On Dec. 17 to 24, mall goers will be entertained by Christmas Carolers. A Christmas Ballet Special will also be featured at the mall on Dec. 22.

Ilonggos visiting the “most beautiful mall in Western Visayas” will also get the chance to see their favorite celebrities up close this month – starting with Maris Racal serenading her fans on Dec. 21 followed by a soulful performance from Julie Ann San Jose on Dec. 29.
