A HOMELESS man felt emotional after Heart Evangelista surprised him with his own house on Monday, weeks after they met along Gilmore Avenue in Quezon City.
Heart came across Jun while looking for her dog, Casper, who went missing last month. As seen in a photo she posted on Twitter on Nov. 18, the 34-year-old star found Jun with a pack of dogs in front of a closed establishment.
“If you see him along Gilmore, say hello. His name is Jun… a hero, an inspiration,” she wrote as caption.
Heart found Casper through the help of her fans and followers on social media.
The actress-vlogger teamed up with PAWSsion Project, a Bacolod-based non-profit group dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating stray and maltreated dogs, to surprise Jun and his pets with their own home –a bahay kubo located inside the Project’s shelter.
In their latest post on Instagram, PAWSsion Project extended their gratitude to Heart for making the surprise possible.
“It was all because of you that we now have this amazing new member of our family. God really is amazing to have used all of us in making this happen,” they wrote. (Push)
