ACTRESS Heart Evangelista penned a birthday message for the late senator Miriam Defensor Santiago, whom she considered as her mentor.
Evangelista posted Saturday on Instagram a series of photos of herself with Santiago, accompanied by a heartwarming message.
“It seems like just yesterday we were going on our adventures together, chatting, lunching, and just enjoying each other’s company,” Evangelista wrote in the caption.
“You owe me Adulting 101, Tita. But it’s okay because I remember every single lesson you’ve taught me until today,” she said.
Evangelista even referred to Santiago in the post as her “ultimate mentor and source of guidance.”
Santiago passed away on Sept. 29, 2016 at the age of 71 after a long bout with lung cancer. (ABS-CBN News)
