HEART Evangelista shared that her father Reynaldo Ongpauco and mother Cecilia Ongpauco have already separated years ago. This admission happened after a netizen asked why her mom is rarely seen in their family photos.
The netizen asked, “Hindi ko po nakikita ang mommy mo sa family niyo po. Asaan po siya?”
Heart responded, “They separated long time ago. They are happier this way and we support that.”
The actress has been spending time with her dad recently as he underwent radiation therapy for the past few months. Reynaldo finished his radiation therapy session last May.
“Celebrating my Dad’s birthday today, but in all honesty, he deserves a celebration every day! He has brought so much love and light into the world and in our lives, so I feel so blessed to have a father like him,” Heart posted on Monday. (Push)
