ROXAS City – Hercor College Junior Jaguars clinched the Capiz leg crown of the Chooks-to-Go SM-National Basketball Training Center (NBTC) tournament after ousting Filamer Christian University, 106-96, at the Capiz Gymnasium here on March 5.

Tyrone Franz Borja was named as the Capiz edition’s Most Valuable Player after emphatically dropping 45 points, seven assists, six rebounds and four steals in the Junior Jaguar’s final mission of the leg.

For ruling Capiz, Hercor College earned the right to represent it in the Regional Finals of the NBTC at Ibajay, Aklan this weekend.

Hercor College is set to square off with Iloilo leg champion St. Roberts Academy Panda Rockets, Negros Occidental leg champion Bacolod Tay Tung High School Thunderbolts, Guimaras leg’s Guimaras State College, Antique’s Col. Ruperto Abellon National High School and Aklan’s Mechor Memorial School Inc.

The survivor of the regional final’s clash will banner Western Visayas in the NBTC National Finals at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City later this month.

The NBTC Regional Finals qualifiers is presented by SM, Chooks-to-Go, Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas, Go for Gold, Molten, Vivo, Smart, Cignal, Phoenix, Darlington and ESPN5./PN
