ROXAS City – Hercor College Junior Jaguars and Filamer Christian University (FCU) will dispute for the crown of the Chooks-To-Go SM-National Basketball Training Center-Capiz leg here at the Capiz Gymnasium today.
The Capiz leg defending champion Hercor College campaigned its way back to the title showdown after defeating College of Saint John-Roxas in the semifinals round.
Filamer Christian University, on the other hand, reached the finale of the leg after outdueling the Saint Mary’s Academy of Capiz in the other Final Four match.
The winner of the Junior Jaguars and FCU gold medal cage war will earn the right to represent this province in the regional finals of the tournament in Ibajay, Aklan on March 7 and 8.
Already in the regional finals stage are Bacolod Tay Tung High School Thunderbolts of Negros Occidental, Iloilo leg champion Hua Siong College of Iloilo Red Phoenix, Guimaras State College for the Guimaras leg, Antique’s Col. Ruperto Abellon National High School and Aklan’s Mechor Memorial School Inc. for the right to represent Western Visayas in the national finals.
The NBTC Western Visayas Regional Finals are presented by SM, Chooks-to-Go, Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas, Go for Gold, Molten, Vivo, Smart, Cignal, Phoenix, Darlington and ESPN5./PN
