BACOLOD City – For allegedly using the name of this capital city’s sanitary service contractor to solicit money from residents, a man was arrested.
He was the 35-year-old Barangay Granada resident Junar Barrios, a police report showed.
Barrios was caught after a complaint was filed against him before the Police Station 8.
IPM-Construction and Development Corp. (IPM-CDC) driver Joselito Tabulong and garbage collector Antonio Despojo lodged the complaint, claiming that they caught Barrios in the act of soliciting money from residents in Barangay Tangub around 2 p.m. on Saturday using IPM-CDC’s name.
Barrios allegedly faked a letter asking donation for the funeral services of his supposed co-worker at IPM-CDC.
Police recovered the letter and P420 cash from Barrios, who was detained at the Police Station 8 lockup facility./PN
