BACOLOD City – A high value target of Calatrava Municipal Police Station was arrested in a drug-bust operation on Nov. 1 at Barangay San Benito, Calatrava, Negros Occidental.
Elements of Calatrava Municipal Police Station, in cooperation with the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office-Provincial Intelligence Unit, the 2nd Manuever Platoon, 605th Manuever Company and the Regional Mobile Force Batallion-Region 6 apprehended Dexter Cano, 22.
The operatives recovered in possession of the suspect three plastic sachets of suspected shabu, a weighing scale, illegal drug paraphernalia, four pieces of aluminum foil, P1,000 in marked money, ten disposable lighters and a homemade .45 caliber with live ammunition.
Police said the suspect will be facing charges for violation of the Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, as well as illegal possession of firearms and ammunitions.
Cano is now in the custody of the Calatrava Municipal Police Station./PN
