BY CYRUS GARDE BACOLOD City – A “high-value” drug suspect was shot to death in Barangay 5, San Carlos City, Negros Occidental.
The 51-year-old resident Abdul Halim Mimbala Mangontawar, a leader of a Muslim community, sustained gunshots wounds on the different parts of the body, a police report showed.
Mangontawar was feeding his chicken when two unidentified gunmen alighted from a motorcycle and peppered him with bullets around 5 p.m. on Thursday, the report added.
Muksin Asis, Mangontawar’s nephew, also sustained a gunshot wound on the right foot and was brought to the San Carlos City Hospital for medical treatment.
Officers from the San Carlos City police station have yet to identify the suspects./PN
