High-value target evades bust, but leaves P600T in ‘shabu’

BACOLOD City – A “high-value target” drug suspect was able to evade arrest after a buy-bust operation around 1:50 a.m. Saturday in Barangay 3 Dos Hermanos Street, San Carlos City.

Superintendent D’Artagnan Katalbas, San Carlos City police head, identified the suspect as Joseph Alinton Fedrequialn, 39, resident.

Fedrequialn managed to flee the scene but in his haste left more or less 50 grams of suspected shabu, with an estimated market value of P600,000. He is in the Philippine National Police’s drug watch list and was a drug surrenderee under “Oplan Tokhang”.

Senior Inspector Mark Angelo Junco, deputy police chief led the buy-bust operation. But Fedrequialn, sensing he was dealing with a police undercover agent, quickly fled the area.

Confiscated from his house was one medium sachet of “shabu” in buy bust-item;  two heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets of suspected shabu; one improvised tooter with traces of suspected shabu; one digital weighing scale; two bundles of unused transparent plastic sachets; nine pieces of unused elongated transparent plastic sachets, and other drug paraphernalia./PN
