BACOLOD City – A “high-value” target was arrested in a drug sting operation in Barangay Poblacion, Sagay City, Negros Occidental.
He was 39-year-old Edgardo Yu Jr., a police report showed.
Recovered from his possession were five sachets of suspected shabu valued at around P2,500, it added.
Yu – resident of Barangay Vito, Sagay City – was caught after he sold suspected illegal drugs to an undercover officer for P500 around 1 p.m. on Aug. 6.
According to police investigation, the suspect was a former drug convict. He was a beneficiary of the government’s plea bargaining agreement last May 18, 2019.
Yu was detained in the Sagay City police station’s custodial facility.
Charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against him will be filed against him./PN
