BACOLOD City – A high-value target drug personality was arrested in a buy-bust operation around 12:30 p.m. on Thursday at Sitio Dapdap, Barangay Lantad, Silay City, Negros Occidental.
Police Superintendent Noel Polines, Silay City police head, identified the suspect as Sydney Punzalan Perales, 39, of Pedoroa in Barangay 3 in Silay City.
Police confiscated from him one heat sealed sachet of “shabu” as buy-bust item in exchange for P1,000, and P6,000 in boodle money.
Three heat sealed sachets of suspected “shabu” were also found in the possession of Perales, along with one Lenovo cell phone and cash amounting to P120 in different denominations.
The confiscated illegal drugs weighed around 10 grams with an estimated market value of P90,000.
The suspect was detained and charged with violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
