ILOILO – A high-value drug suspect was arrested in a drug buy-bust operation yesterday, August 11, in Zone 1, Poblacion, Estancia town.
The 40-year-old alias “Jar-R”, a resident of the said place, was caught by officers of the Station Drug Enforcement Team (SDET) of Estancia Municipal Police Station (MPS) around 12:07 a.m.
Police recovered around 53.53 grams of suspected shabu worth approximately P364,000.
Estancia police monitored the suspect for almost three months before executing the operation following reports from concerned residents that he was engaging in illegal drug activity.
The suspect, who was detained at the Estancia MPS, is facing for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002)./PN
