BACOLOD City – The Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA) recognized the Himamaylan City Government in Negros Occidental for fully complying with the Electronic-Business One-Stop Shop (E-BOSS) system.

Mayor Raymund Tongson received the award on behalf of the city government on Tuesday, June 25.

“The speedy processing of documents assures businesses in Himamaylan that we are doing our best in providing competent and up-to-date services,” said Mayor Raymud Tongson who received the commendation.

The mayor also said the full implementation of E-BOSS in the city will not be possible without the support of the city government employees and the compliance of businesses and stakeholders.

Tongson expressed gratitude to Sectary Ernesto Perez, ARTA director general; the Department of Information and Communications Technology; ARTA regional officials and officers; and the people behind the city government for supporting the digitalization program.

The E-BOSS is in compliance with the Ease of Doing Business and Efficient Government Service Delivery Act of 2018 which Himamaylan local government has fully automated, end-to-end, its business permitting and licensing processes for both new and renewal applications.

Also on the same day, Himamaylan City Government was the first in Negros Island Region to host the ARTA Bagong Pilipinas Town Hall Meeting.
