BACOLOD City – Two drug pushing suspects were caught in separate sting operations in Hinigaran and Cadiz City in Negros Occidental, a police report showed.
The 25-year-old Momer “Small Boy” Prudente of Barangay Nanunga, Hinigaran and the 50-year-old Eufracio Bermeo of Barangay Zone 2, Cadiz City were arrested on Saturday, the report further stated.
It was around 11:30 a.m. that day when Hinigaran police led by Chief Inspector Jake Barilla and elements of the Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit led by Chief Inspector Rogelio Pacificar nabbed Prudente in his house.
Recovered from Prudente were two sachets of suspected shabu worth about P30,000 and drug paraphernalia. Police also confiscated his cellphone.
Bermeo, on the other hand, was caught around 5:12 p.m. in front of the Dr. Vicente V. Gustilo Memorial National High School in Cadiz City.
Cadiz City Drug Enforcement Unit led by Inspector Alfred Garcia arrested Bermeo after the latter sold a sachet of suspected shabu to a poseur-buyer for P500.
Police recovered four sachets of suspected shabu from Bermeo. Bermeo’s motorcycle was confiscated, too.
Prudente and Bermeo were detained and facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
