BACOLOD City – A man was stabbed dead in Barangay Bacuyangan, Hinoba-an, Negros Occidental.
The 25-year-old resident Charlo Alde died of stab wound on the chest, a police report showed.
Police identified the suspect as 38-year-old resident Rolando Hirunggay.
According to police investigators, Alde and Hirunggay were having a drinking spree when a heated argument ensued between them around 8 p.m. on Friday.
This prompted Hirunggay to stab Alde, police said.
Alde was rushed to the Eleuterio T. Decena Memorial Hospital where the attending physician declared him “dead on arrival.”
Officers of the Hinobaan municipal police station conducted a manhunt operation against Hirunggay, who fled after the incident./PN
