BACOLOD City – A resident of Barangay 1 (Poblacion), Hinoba-an, Negros Occidental had been mauled and stabbed.
Rolando Abelo, 38, was confined in the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital. He was in critical condition as of this writing.
Abelo identified Luciano Celiz, 38, of the same village as the one who stabbed him.
Three unidentified companions of Celiz mugged him, said Senior Inspector Leomel Gonzaga, municipal police chief.
Gonzaga said the incident happened around 11 p.m. on Thursday in Barangay Alim, Hinoba-an.
He said Abelo and Celiz had an old grudge.
All four suspects fled after the incident and remained at large as of this writing.
Abelo sustained a stab wound on the back.
He was taken to the Eleuterio T. Decena Memorial Hospital in Barangay Bacuyangan, Hinoba-an, but physicians referred him to the regional hospital here./PN
