SAN JOSE, Antique – A farmer survived an attempt on his life in San Remigio town in this province over the weekend.
An unidentified suspect tried to kill the 52-year-old Edmund Villasor around 10 a.m. on Oct. 3, a police report showed.
From what the San Remigio police gathered so far, Villasor – resident of Barangay Banlag, Bantal, Valencia City, Bukidnon but temporarily resides in San Remigio’s Barangay Carawisan II – was walking on his way home when the gunman fired at him.
The victim fell on the ground after he was hit on the different parts of the body.
He was initially brought by the town’s emergency responders to the Ramon Maza District Hospital in Sibalom but was later transferred to the Angel Salazar Memorial General Hospital in San Jose town for further medical treatment.
Officers of the municipal police station, as this was being written, have yet to identify the suspect. The motive in the incident is still unknown as well./PN
