ILOILO City – Charles Lapascua was in possession of a homemade firearm, police said.
Officers arrested the 22-year-old resident of Barangay San Rafael, Mandurriao district on Saturday.
Lapascua was at the Atria Park District in the same village at 3:30 a.m. when officers on patrol spotted a firearm tucked in his waist, a police report showed.
A .357 revolver loaded with five ammunition were seized from Lapascua, the police report stated.
Lapascua faces a charge for violation of Republic Act 10591, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act.
He was taken to the Mandurriao police station./PN
