ILOILO City – After 10 years of hiding from the police, a homicide suspect was finally arrested.
The 28-year-old Jayson Castillo was apprehended in Barangay Malabor, Tibiao, Antique. In 2007 he was accused of killing a neighbor.
Cops arrested Castillo around 6:40 p.m. on Saturday. Judge Rafael Penuela of the Regional Trial Court, Branch 64 issued the arrest warrant.
For the suspect’s temporary liberty, the court set the bail bond at P40,000.
Castillo disappeared from Barangay Malabor 10 years ago after he was charged. Recently, the police received information that he returned to the village./PN
