BACOLOD City – The House of Representatives committee on energy is set to conduct an inquiry on the many complaints hounding Central Negros Electric Cooperative (Ceneco) on Nov. 29.
Bacolod City’s Cong. Greg Gasataya, in a radio interview, said he was informed of the date by committee on energy chairperson, Marinduque’s Cong. Lord Allan Jay Velasco.
Gasataya urged consumers and energy advocates to support the inquiry.
Among the issues currently plaguing the electric consumers are the incessant power outages and the high rates.
The nquiry was pushed under House Resolution 475, as well as calls from Negros Occidental 3rd District’s Cong. Jose Francisco “Kiko” Benitez to investigate Ceneco./PN
