How celebs reacted to Mocha Uson’s ‘Pepedederalismo’ video

AMID the uproar over the so-called “Pepedederalismo” viral clip involving Palace communications official Mocha Uson, numerous celebrities have taken to social media to similarly criticize her treatment of federalism.

The clip, from a recent episode of Uson’s “Good News Game Show,” shows blogger Drew Olivar touching his crotch and chest as he chants, “I-pepe, i-dede” – a play on syllables of “pederalismo” (“federalism”) referring to the Filipino slang terms for female private parts.

Among the celebrities who criticized Uson and Olivar were actress Agot Isidro and music veteran Jim Paredes, both outspoken critics of the Duterte administration.

Isidro tweeted: “Ikaka-proud mo talaga ito, Asec? Matanong ko lang. Wala namang babuyan. Isaayos ang trabaho para may kaunting credibilidad.”

Paredes wrote: “We pay people like them for this? Grabe na to.”

Actor-host Ogie Diaz, radio DJ Mo Twister, comedienne Ethel Booba, and actress Chai Fonacier likewise expressed their disapproval.

In a series of Facebook posts, Diaz said: “Ganito pala kababaw ang Federalismo. Nakakalungkot pala… Ang cheap-cheap na ng politics ngayon, kalokah.”

Referring to Uson defending the viral video as well as Olivar, Diaz added, “Hihintayin pa yata ni Mocha na si PDuterte ang aako ng kasalanan niya at mag-sorry para sa kanya. #MahiyaDinSana”

Meanwhile, Mo Twister blasted Olivar over his actions, Fonacier called out Uson for allegedly being in it “for money,” and Ethel Booba joked about the P90 million budget reportedly intended for the Palace’s federalism information drive. (ABS-CBN News)
