ILOILO City – Charged with threatening his wife, a resident of Barangay Bakhaw, Mandurriao district was arrested.
The 61-year-old Danilo Villanueva was hauled to the lockup facility of the district police station.
Police served him a warrant of arrest around 6:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
Villanueva — charged with violation of Section 5 of the Anti-Violence against Women and their Children Act — was caught a year after the case was filed, a police report showed.
Judge Adriano Savillo of the Regional Trial Court Branch 30 issued the arrest warrant against Villanueva and set the bail at P2,000.
The suspect has not yet posted bail as of press time./PN
