BACOLOD City – Human remains were found at a garbage dump in Barangay Damsite, Murcia.
Authorities have yet to identify the remains.
Police Staff Sergeant Edwin Celiz of the Murcia police said a citizen harvesting swamp cabbage, or “kangkong,” discovered the human remains in a sack, at least a kilometer away from the nearest house.
They have yet to confirm if the remains belonged to a male or female, which would be examined by the Scene of the Crime Operatives, added Celiz. They also believe that the remains had been there for at least a month already.
Celiz made a call to the public with reported missing kin to get in touch with their station./PN
