ILOILO City – Charged with domestic violence, a husband from Barangay San Miguel, Jordan, Guimaras was arrested.
From his house on Jan. 20, Joel Gagatan, 44, was detained at the Jordan police station.
Gagatan’s wife accused him of threatening and maltreating her and their child. Judge Rosario Abigail-Dris-Villanueva of the Regional Trial Court, Branch 65 issued the arrest warrant.
Police served the arrest warrant around 8:45 p.m.
It was unclear as of this writing if Gagatan was able to post bail.
The court set the bail bond at P12,000 for the suspect’s temporary liberty./PN
