ILOILO City – Steve Doromal turned up at the police station in Dumangas, Iloilo to clear his name.
The resident of Barangay PD Monfort North, Dumangas was accused of stabbing a neighbor but he denied this.
The victim – 22-year-old Roden Abelarde of the same village – was confined at the Western Visayas Medical Center in Mandurriao district.
A police report stated that the attack happened at 8 p.m. on Sunday during a fiesta in the barangay.
Doromal allegedly stabbed Abelarde on the right side of the body after a heated argument, police said.
Police said Doromal turned himself in to them but insisted that he had nothing to do with the stabbing./PN
