IT was after she had achieved popularity as an actress when Liza Soberano noticed that she had “lost” a person dear to her.
Signs such as Justin – the name of her younger brother – hanging out with friends she didn’t know, and him refusing to listen to her advice brought about fears that he might be cutting her out of his life.
Things became more worrying when she found that Justin got his girlfriend pregnant – an unexpected turn that made Soberano start to sadly think: “Ay mawawala na iyong baby brother ko sa akin.”
She emotionally opened up about her troubled relationship with her brother in an interview on “Tonight with Boy Abunda” this Friday.
She talked about how she cried to him as they talked about him becoming a father; how they don’t see each other as often as before; and the way Justin felt “forgotten” after she found an acting career.
Referring to how Justin “rebelled,” she said: “Sometimes I blame myself for it because I wasn’t around anymore. But I wish he would understand that I would do everything for him.” (ABS-CBN News)
