KALIBO, Aklan – A resident of Barangay Naile, Ibajay, Aklan accused of illegal gambling had been arrested.
The 39-year-old Elvira Virgo was detained at the Ibajay police station.
Police caught her engaged in the numbers game EZ2 at around 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, a police report showed.
Gambling paraphernalia and P377 bet money were recovered from her, the report stated.
Virgo was charged with violation of Republic Act 9287, the Act that increases the penalties for illegal numbers games, the report added./PN
