CAPIZ – An ice cream vendor in Barangay Poblacion Proper, Mambusao town is missing.
The pedicab of 73-year-old Leodegario Soriano was recovered in the barangay river, leading villagers to conclude that he like fell from the river’s embankment into the body of water.
A search, rescue and retrieval operation was launched early morning on May 19 by the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO), Capiz Emergency Response Team (CERT), Mambusao DRRMO, Coast Guard Station-Capiz, Capiz Bureau of Fire Protection SRF Marine Fire Unit, Mambusao Bureau of Fire Protection, and barangay officials.
Soriano was last seen alive leaving his house around 4 a.m. yesterday to buy ice cubes./PN
