ICPO deploys more cops in cemeteries

ILOILO City – The Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO) will deploy more policemen in cemeteries starting today to ensure the safe observance of Undas.

On Friday, Oct. 28, ICPO started deploying two police officers in each cemetery.

“Pero daw dry run pa lang ini. Usisaon pa naton kun ano nga adjustment ang aton ubrahon sa pag-check sa aton mga sementeryo… Sa subong minimum kita two police officers lang anay,” Police Major Shella Mae Sangrines, ICPO spokesperson, told Panay News on Friday.

For the highlight of cemetery visits from Oct. 31 to Nov. 1, six to 10 police officers will be stationed in every cemetery, Sangrines said.

The ICPO spokesperson again reminded the public that the following are prohibited in cemeteries:

* selling or bringing of liquor

* firearms and other deadly weapons

* illegal gambling

* smoking

* karaoke/PN
