The Iloilo Children Welfare Foundation, Inc. (ICWF) celebrated the National Children’s Month 2018 at Robinsons Place Iloilo last Nov. 25, 2018.
ICWF is a rights-based, nongovernment organization that promotes the rights and welfare of every child.
The theme of the event – “Isulong: Tamang Pag-aaruga Para sa Lahat ng Bata” – was portrayed through the talent presentations coming from eight public secondary schools: Bo. Obrero National High School, Fort San Pedro National High School, Jalandoni Memorial National High School, La Paz National High School, Mandurriao National High School, Melchor L. Nava National High School, Ramon Avancena National High School, and SPED Integrated School for Exceptional Children.
“Padayon lang kita gihapon sa pag-invest sa aton mga kabataan diri sa syudad because we always believe nga kabataan ang paglaom sa aton nga syudad. We have to invest on them. We have to educate them, to empower them as much as possible para sa pag protekta man sa kinamatarong sang mga bata sa Iloilo City,” said Fher Dulalia, ICWF Children Core Group president and an active child rights advocate.
The event was held in partnership with KIYO CRN, BATA MUNA NETWORK PANAY, and the Department of Education./PN
