KALIBO, Aklan – Two men were arrested in Barangay Cawayan, New Washington, Aklan for allegedly engaging in illegal cockfighting.
Boyet Gabunada and Darwin Selorio were caught around 11:30 a.m. on Oct. 14, a police report showed.
Officers from the municipal police station were patrolling the village when the chanced upon the suspects.
Gabunada and Selorio were detained in the lockup facility of the New Washington police station.
They were charged under Article 199 (illegal cockfighting) of the Revised Penal Code./PN
Dao local faces homicide charge
ROXAS City – Accused of homicide, a man was arrested in Sitio Pang-pang, Barangay Agtanguay, Dao, Capiz.
Officers from the Dao municipal police station served the 25-year-old resident Gleemer Escasulatan with an arrest around 5:15 a.m. on Oct. 11.
The court issued the warrant in relation to Criminal Case No. 14443 that Escasulatan faces.
Escasulatan was detained in the Dao police station lockup facility.
The court recommended a P120,000 bail bond for his temporary liberty./PN
Wanted Batan man arrested
KALIBO, Aklan – Police arrested a wanted man at the Batan Seaport in Barangay Poblacion, Batan, Aklan.
Jeralph Estomata faces Criminal Case No. 14408 (for homicide), a police report showed.
Estomata was caught around 7 a.m. on Oct. 11 on the strength of an arrest warrant that judge Nelson Bartolome issued.
Estomata was detained in the lockup cell of the Batan municipal police station.
A P120,000 bail bond was recommended for his temporary liberty./PN
