BACOLOD City – Three men were detained at the custodial facility of Ilog Municipal Police Station for their alleged participation in an illegal cock derby on Dec. 11.
Ilog police said the suspects, Bebeth Binolas, 24; Glenn Magbanua, 54; and Donie Gengoyon, 34 (all residents of the said town), were “caught in the act” at around 1:25 p.m. in Hacienda San Ramon, Barangay Manalad, Ilog, Negros Occidental.
Two fighting cocks were recovered during the operation.
Police said the suspects face charges for violation of Presidential Decree 449, or the Cockfighting Law of 1974./PN
