ANTIQUE – A 32-year-old man was arrested for violating the illegal fishing ordinance in Libertad town.
Authorities said Mark Anthony Prado, a resident of Barangay Santander, Buruanga, Aklan, was found to have no fishing permit.
Joint operatives of the Libertad Municipal Police Station (MPS), Maritime police and Libertad Bantay Dagat caught Prado fishing in the waters of Barangay Tinigbas, Libertad around 5:20 p.m. on Sunday, May 26.
Recovered from Prado were motor banca, fish net and assorted fish weighing 22 kilos and with an estimated market value of P1,320.
The suspect was taken into Libertad MPS for proper disposition./PN
