ILOILO City – For alleged illegal fishing, four fishermen were arrested on Saturday in Barangay Pantalan Nabaye, Ajuy, Iloilo.
They were taken to the Ajuy police station around 3:20 p.m.
The suspects were Reymart Balquiriza, 23; Marjohn Aligan, 23; Gino Aligan, 22; Ernie Bedoso, 38, all residents of the village and crews of M/B Jessa.
Police said they violated municipal ordinance No. 2006-28 for catching fish less than 1.5 kilometers away from the shoreline./PN
