ILOILO City – Police chanced upon residents playing tong-its in Barangay Mohon, Arevalo district.
They seized P200 bet money and a set of playing cards.
Three suspects were arrested – Myrna Pontilla, Nonito Tureja and Rizal Mequila.
Meanwhile, Ma. Arlene Mequila, a resident of the village, was also apprehended for violation of the social distancing health protocol against coronavirus disease 2019.
All suspects were taken to the Police Station 6 around 4:40 p.m. on Aug. 19./PN
