KALIBO, Aklan – For illegal gambling, police arrested a man in Barangay Ondoy, Ibajay, Aklan.
Resident Venjoe Villanueva was nabbed around 9:30 p.m. on Monday, a police report showed.
His arrest came after joint elements of the Ibajay police station and Criminal Investigation and Detection Group caught him in the act of illegal gambling.
Recovered from his possession were P102 gambling money, three ping-pong balls, a funnel, and a betting board, police said.
Villanueva was detained in the lockup cell of the Ibajay municipal police station.
Charges for violation of Presidential Decree 1602, which prescribes stiffer penalties on illegal gambling, will be filed against him./PN
