BACOLOD City – A 43-year-old resident of Barangay Tabu, Ilog, Negros Occidental was arrested for violating Republic Act 9287, the Act increasing penalties for illegal numbers games.
Officers from the Ilog municipal police station served Renante Garganta a warrant of arrest in his house on Wednesday, Dec. 19.
Judge Rodney Magbanua of the Regional Trial Court Branch 61 in Kabankalan City issued the warrant on Oct. 5.
Garganta was detained at the Ilog municipal police station.
The court set a bail of P60,000 for his temporary freedom./PN
