BACOLOD City – For unauthorized sale of petroleum products, a man was arrested in Barangay Kalumbuyan, Bayawan City, Negros Oriental.
The 47-year-old Renato Legado of Barangay Pantao 1, Mabinay, Negros Oriental was detained in the lockup cell of the Bayawan City police station.
Authorities nabbed Legado after he sold 20 liters of gasoline to an undercover officer for P1,000 around 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday, a police report showed.
Two-hundred four liters of gasoline contained in four drums and 20 empty drums were confiscated from Legado.
The police also impounded his Mitsubishi Delca motorcycle.
Legado faces charges for violation of Presidential Decree 1865, which prohibits illegal trading of petroleum products. /PN
