MANILA – A bettor from Iloilo province became P53 million richer after bagging the jackpot in the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office’s Grand Lotto 6/55 game Wednesday night.
The lone bettor, who placed his bet from a Lotto station in Barotac Nuevo town, won P53,449,633, the PCSO said in a statement released Thursday.
The winning combination for the 6/55 jackpot in the Sept. 26 draw was 34, 09, 28, 24, 19, 42.
The winner may claim their prize at the PCSO’s main branch in Mandaluyong City within a year, the agency said.
‘LARGEST IN HISTORY’
Meanwhile the PCSO said the jackpot prize for the Ultra Lotto 6/58 game Friday night is seen to reach P765 million after no one got the winning combination during the last draw Tuesday.
According to the PCSO, P765 million is the largest jackpot in the history of the lottery – surpassing the P741 million jackpot won by a Filipino-American in a Mega Lotto 6/55 draw on Nov. 29, 2010.
The Ultra Lotto 6/58 jackpot reached the current amount since two bettors won and shared the P331.9-million jackpot on Feb. 16. The game is drawn every Tuesday, Friday and Sunday./PN
