ILOILO City – A coordinated anti-drug operation by the Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO) resulted in the arrest of three high-value drug suspects around 5:17 p.m. on Monday, January 27, in Barangay San Roque, Jaro district.

Aliases “Ian”, 48; “Sipil”, 24; and “Ninay”, 18, yielded seven plastic sachets and a knot-tied plastic bag of suspected shabu weighing around 75 grams and with an estimated street value of P510,000.

The suspects are currently in police custody and face charges for violating Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Western Visayas police director Brigadier General Jack L. Wanky commended the teams from ICPO’s Drug Enforcement Unit and Police Station 9, and Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit for their dedication in combating illegal drugs.

“The successful operation highlights our unwavering commitment to eradicating illegal drugs in our jurisdiction. As we continue this intensified campaign, we must also enhance our partnerships with communities, local government units, and other law enforcement agencies. Together, we can curb the spread of these illicit activities and hold perpetrators accountable,” Wanky said./PN
