ILOILO City – Two high-value targets were arrested in an anti-illegal drug operation in Green Garden Subdivision, Barangay Tagbak, Jaro district.
The Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO) identified the suspects as aliases “Jason”, 35, a resident of Barangay Caingin, La Paz district, and “Aye”, 28, of Barangay Malusgod, Pototan, Iloilo.
Police confiscated a total of seven plastic sachets of suspected shabu weighing 50 grams and valued at approximately P340,000 from the suspects at around 10:35 p.m. on November 14.
Police Regional Office 6 director Brigadier General Jack Wanky commended the successful and intensified campaign of the ICPO against illegal drugs .
“We extend our sincerest gratitude to the different stakeholders that continuously support our ongoing effort against drug problems,” Wanky added.
The suspects are now under police custody. They were charged with violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002)./PN
