Iloilo City gets 4 more police stations, 290 additional  cops

ILOILO City – Today, four new police stations here will be activated, with no less than the Philippine National Police (PNP) chief, Police Brigadier General Rommel Francisco Marbil, leading the ceremony.

The new police stations, which have been established through completed Deeds of Usufruct, are strategically located in various districts to optimize coverage:

* Police Station 7 in Barangay Tanza Esperanza, City Proper

* Police Station 8 in Barangay Bo. Obrero, Lapuz district

* Police Station 9 in Barangay M.H. Del Pilar, Jaro district

* Police Station 10 at Gaisano ICC, Mandurriao district

Approximately 290 police personnel will staff the new facilities, boosting the total police force in Iloilo City to over 1,000 officers.

This expansion is part of an ongoing effort to enhance the capabilities of the local police force, ensuring that each station is adequately manned to meet the needs of its respective area, said Police Colonel Joeresty Coronica, director of the Iloilo City Police Office./PN
