Iloilo City gov’t brings services closer to public via offsite payment centers

ILOILO City – To make easy, fast and convenient the application, renewal and payment of business permits and other payment-related transactions, the city government simultaneously opened three offsite payment centers at the Festive Walk, Marymart and Atrium malls.

“Ginasiguro gid naton nga makapangita sang paagi to bring services closer to the people in a bid for a more livable, sustainable and resilient metro,” said Mayor Jerry Treñas on Tuesday.

This is part of the city government’s commitment to build back a better and more resilient economy by creating more opportunities for investments and entrepreneurship, he added.

Specifically, the services include assessment and payments for real property tax, assessment of new business tax, issuance of tax clearance, assessment of business tax renewal, and payment of business and transfer taxes.

The offsite payment centers will also decongest city hall.

City hall personnel will be posted at these payment centers.

Next week, an offsite payment center at SM City Iloilo will also open.

The Robinsons Place Iloilo and GT Mall in Molo district are also interested to be part of this city government initiative, said Treñas./PN
