Iloilo City gov’t holds reach-out operation on minors

ILOILO City – The city government and partner agencies held a reach-out operation on minors on Dec. 29, as part of the launching of the amended Curfew for Minors ordinance.

The city’s Task Force on Moral Values Formation, together with the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO), Iloilo City Police Office and barangay officials, roved around the city to enforce the curfew from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m.

Mayor Jerry P. Treñas emphasized that Iloilo City promotes child welfare.

“By keeping minors home early, we can ensure their safety,” he said.

Treñas said the city government is committed to advancing the rights and welfare of children.

Children who were rescued were turned over to the CSWDO and underwent counseling./PN
