ILOILO City – This southern city has so far administered vaccines against coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) to 18.13 percent of its target population.
Data (as of June 30) from the city’s Local Vaccination Operation Center showed a total of 81,587 individuals vaccinated against COVID-19 since the start of the roll out in March this year.
A total of 65,927 individuals got their first dose while 15,660 already completed their vaccination (two doses).
Data also showed that 63,931 vaccinees had Sinovac (48,311 first dose; 15,620 second dose) while 17,656 received AstraZeneca jabs, including 40 individuals who got their second dose.
The data did not include yet those who were vaccinated for the month of July.
The city government now has five vaccination sites – Central Philippine University (Jaro), Ateneo de Iloilo and Iloilo Convention Center (Mandurriao) and University of San Agustin and University of the Philippines Visayas (City Proper).
On July 5, the city was able to vaccinate a total of 6,398 individuals.
Iloilo City has a target population of 450,000 to reach herd immunity./PN
