HOME to the longest protected bike lane in the country, Iloilo has officially been hailed as the Philippines Bike Capital!
With picturesque sites and majestic scenery, all roads (including the paths from the Diversion Road to the city’s Esplanades) lead to Iloilo’s Bike Lanes Network Project which is set to expand cycling infrastructure to over 43 kilometers.
This year’s bike event, says Mayor Jerry P. Treñas, has the primary endeavor of promoting tourism and spurring economic recovery in the city. In the same light, the event aims to promote pedal-friendly practices.
The bike fest saw 2,000 enthusiasts from all over the Philippines record-breaking attendance.
The Iloilo Business Park (IBP)in the Madurriao District played host to this year’s event for the seventh consecutive time.

As a partner in promoting wellness and health, NEARSOL joined Iloilo City’s endeavor by sponsoring brand new bicycles for the “Iloilo Bike Festival 2022”. Bikes were raffled off during the festival and another set of bikes was donated to frontliners.

The City Government has seen the importance of biking as a hobby or sport and as an environment-friendly and budget-friendly way of getting around. Together with the Iloilo City Government, and the Iloilo Festivals Foundation, Inc. (IFFI), enthusiasts had a blast at the “Iloilo Bike Festival 2022” with the theme “#BikeKaNaman sa Iloilo City – A Safe, Scenic and Sustainable Biking in Iloilo City”.
Filipinos have taken a renewed interest in biking for health and leisure. For the young and young-at-heart, it has become more than just a mode of transportation.
