ILOILO City – The Premier Volleyball League (PVL) is returning to this city for the second time this season with a pair of All-Filipino Conference preliminary round matches this Dec. 2.
First to faceoff at 5 p.m. are PVL newcomers Nxled Chameleons and Farm Fresh Foxies to be followed by the matchup between Chery Tiggo Crossovers and Choco Mucho Flying Titans at 7 p.m.
The Chameleons-Foxies battle saw the encounter of two Western Visayas-based volleybelles in Ilongga Dani Ravena of Nxled and Negrense Alyssa Bertolano of Farm Fresh.
Also part of the Chameleons roster are Camille Victoria, Lycha Ebon, Krich Macaslang, Chiara Permentilla, Jhoanna Maraguinot, Rachel Jorvina, Kamille Cal, Jannine Navarro, Maji Mangulabnan, May Luna, Judith Abil and Lia Pelaga.
The Chameleons, on the other hand, also have Rizza Cruz, Louie Romero, Justine Dorog, Trisha Gayle Tubu, Kate Santiago, Aprylle Tagsip, Joan Narit, Sofia Ildefonso, and Cae Lazo.
Chery Tiggo, meanwhile, will parade three Ilonggas in Ria Beatriz Duremdes, Princess Robles, and Ma. Shaya Adorador against the Flying Titans, which will see the return of Ilongga Aduke Ogunsanya from knee injury.
Aside from the three Ilonggas, the Crossovers’ roster will also feature Ennajie and Ejiya Laure, Imee Hernandez, Joyme Cagande, Czarina Carandang, Pauline Gaston, Jasmine Nabor, Mylene Paat, and Jennifer Nierva.
The Flying Titans, on the other hand, will have a loaded roster in Cherry Rondina, Kat Tolentino, Bea de Leon, Desiree Cheng, Madeleine Madayag, Regine Arocha, Jemenea Ferrer, Ma. Lina Molde, Cherry Nunag, Maika Ortiz, Toni Ponce, Caitlyn Viray, Denden Lazaro, and Deanna Wong.
“We are very thankful to the PVL for allowing Iloilo City to host a double-header PVL games for the second time this year,” Gametime Sports founder Rodolfo Go Villaruz told Panay News.
“The Ilonggo volleyball fans were very much looking forward to this since before the pandemic hit us as this was an opportunity for them to be closer to their volleyball idols again,” he added./PN
